(王下8:19)

[和合本] 耶和华却因他仆人大卫的缘故,仍不肯灭绝犹大,照他所应许大卫的话,永远赐灯光与他的子孙。

[新译本] 但耶和华因他仆人大卫的缘故不愿毁灭犹大,却要照他应许大卫的,赐给他和他的后裔永远有香灯延续。

[当代修] 但耶和华因祂仆人大卫的缘故而不愿毁灭犹大,因为祂曾应许让大卫的子孙永远做王。

[现代修] 但上主不愿毁灭犹大;因为他曾应许他的仆人大卫,要使大卫的后代永远有人作王。

[吕振中] 但永恒主却因他仆人大卫的缘故仍不情愿灭绝犹大,乃是照他对大卫所应许过的、要使他和他子孙日日不断地有灯光。

2 Kings 8:19

[GNT] but the LORD was not willing to destroy Judah, because he had promised his servant David that his descendants would always continue to rule.

[BBE] But it was not the Lord's purpose to send destruction on Judah, because of David his servant, to whom he had given his word that he would have a light for ever.

[KJV] Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.
