罗马书4章11节

(罗4:11)

[和合本] 并且他受了割礼的记号,作他未受割礼的时候因信称义的印证,叫他作一切未受割礼而信之人的父,使他们也算为义;

[新标点] 并且他受了割礼的记号,作他未受割礼的时候因信称义的印证,叫他作一切未受割礼而信之人的父,使他们也算为义;

[和合修] 并且,他受了割礼的记号,作他未受割礼的时候因信称义的印证,为使他作一切未受割礼而信之人的父,使他们也算为义,

[新译本] 他领受了割礼为记号,作他受割礼之前因信称义的印证,使他作所有没有受割礼而信之人的父,使他们也被算为义;

[思高本] 他后来领受了割损的标记,只是作为他未受割损时,因信德获得正义的印证。如此,亚巴郎作了一切未受割损而相信的人的父亲,使他们也同样因信德而算为正义;

[文理本] 且亚伯拉罕受割之号、即其未受割、因信为义之印证、使为凡未割而信者之父、致彼称义、

Romans 4:11

[GNT] He was circumcised later, and his circumcision was a sign to show that because of his faith God had accepted him as righteous before he had been circumcised. And so Abraham is the spiritual father of all who believe in God and are accepted as righteous by him, even though they are not circumcised.

[BBE] How, then, was it judged? when he had circumcision, or when he had it not? Not when he had it, but when he did not have it:

[KJV] And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them

[NKJV] And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had while still] uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also,

[KJ21] And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had, yet being uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are not circumcised, that righteousness might be imputed unto them

[NASB] and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which (Lit was in uncircumcision)he had while uncircumcised, so that he might be the father of all who believe without being circumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them,

[NRSV] He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the ancestor of all who believe without being circumcised and who thus have righteousness reckoned to t

[WEB] He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they might be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be accounted to them.

[ESV] He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, so that righteousness would be counted to them as well,

[NIV] And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So then, he is the father of all who believe but have not been circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them

[NIrV] When did it happen? Was it after Abraham was circumcised, or before? It was before he was circumcised, not after!

[HCSB] And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while still uncircumcised. This was to make him the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, so that righteousness may be credited to them also.

[CSB] And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while still uncircumcised. This was to make him the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, so that righteousness may be credited to them also.

[AMP] He received the mark of circumcision as a token or an evidence [and] seal of the righteousness which he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised--[faith] so that he was to be made the father of all who [truly] believe, though without circumcision, and who thus have righteousness (right standing with God) imputed to them and credited to their account,

[NLT] Circumcision was a sign that Abraham already had faith and that God had already accepted him and declared him to be righteous-- even before he was circumcised. So Abraham is the spiritual father of those who have faith but have not been circumcised. They are counted as righteous because of their faith.

[YLT] and a sign he did receive of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith in the uncircumcision, for his being father of all those believing through uncircumcision, for the righteousness also being reckoned to them,
