[和合本] 若找不到贼,那家主必就近审判官,要看看他拿了原主的物件没有。

[新译本] 如果找不到窃贼,那家主必要到审判官(“审判官”原文作“上帝”)那里,查明他有没有下手拿去邻舍的财物。

[当代修] 倘若没捉到盗贼,邻居就要到审判官那里证明自己没有偷拿。

[现代修] 窃贼若抓不到,受托人必须到敬拜的场所发誓,表示他没有窃取别人所付托的财物。

[吕振中] 贼若不被找到,那家主就必须被带到官长(或译:上帝)面前、去查明他有没有下手拿邻舍的物件。

Exodus 22:8

[GNT] But if the thief is not found, the one who was keeping the valuables is to be brought to the place of worship and there he must take an oath that he has not stolen the other one's property.

[BBE] If they do not get the thief, let the master of the house come before the judges and take an oath that he has not put his hand on his neighbour's goods.
