[和合本] 约拿单对大卫说:“愿耶和华以色列的 神为证。明日约在这时候,或第三日,我探我父亲的意思,若向你有好意,我岂不打发人告诉你吗?

[和合修] 约拿单对大卫说:“愿耶和华—以色列的 神作证。明日约在这时候,或第三日,我一探出我父亲的心意,看哪,若对大卫是好意,我怎么会不派人来告诉你呢?

[新译本] 约拿单对大卫说:“愿耶和华以色列的上帝作证,明天或后天约在这个时候,我探出了我父亲的意思,如果他对你有好感,那时我会不派人来告诉你吗?

[当代修] 约拿单对大卫说:“愿以色列的上帝耶和华作证,明天或后天这个时侯我就会打探到我父亲的意思,如果他善意待你,我会派人通知你。

[现代修] 约拿单对大卫说:“愿上主——以色列的上帝作我们的证人【注45、“作我们的证人”是根据一古译本,希伯来文没有这几个字】!明天和后天这个时候,我会探我父亲的意思。如果他对你没有恶意,我会带口信给你;

1 Samuel 20:12

[GNT] and Jonathan said to David, "May the LORD God of Israel be our witness! At this time tomorrow and on the following day I will question my father. If his attitude toward you is good, I will send you word.

[BBE] And Jonathan said to David, May the Lord, the God of Israel, be witness; when I have had a chance of talking to my father, about this time tomorrow, if his feelings to David are good, will I not send and give you the news?

[KJV] And Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about to morrow any time, or the third day, and, behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;

[NKJV] Then Jonathan said to David: "The LORD God of Israel [is witness!] When I have sounded out my father sometime tomorrow, [or] the third [day,] and indeed [there is] good toward David, and I do not send to you and tell you,

[KJ21] And Jonathan said unto David, "By the LORD the God of Israel, when I have sounded out my father about tomorrow any time, or the third day, and behold, if there be good toward David, and I then send not unto thee and show it to thee,

[NRSV] Jonathan said to David, "By the LORD, the God of Israel! When I have sounded out my father, about this time tomorrow, or on the third day, if he is well disposed toward David, shall I not then send and disclose it to you?

[WEB] Jonathan said to David, "By Yahweh, the God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about this time tomorrow, or the third day, behold, if there is good toward David, won't I then send to you, and disclose it to you?

[ESV] And Jonathan said to David, "The LORD, the God of Israel, be witness! When I have sounded out my father, about this time tomorrow, or the third day, behold, if he is well disposed toward David, shall I not then send and disclose it to you?

[NIV] Then Jonathan said to David: "By the LORD, the God of Israel, I will surely sound out my father by this time the day after tomorrow! If he is favorably disposed toward you, will I not send you word and let you know?

[NIrV] Then Jonathan spoke to David. He said, "I promise you that I'll find out what my father is planning to do. I'll find out by this time the day after tomorrow. The Lord, the God of Israel, is my witness. Suppose my father feels kind toward you. Then I'll send you a message and let you know.

[HCSB] "By the LORD, the God of Israel, if I sound out my father by this time tomorrow or the next day and I find out that he is favorable toward you, and if I do not send for you and tell you,

[CSB] "By the LORD, the God of Israel, if I sound out my father by this time tomorrow or the next day and I find out that he is favorable toward you, and if I do not send for you and tell you,

[AMP] Jonathan said to David, The Lord, the God of Israel, be witness. When I have sounded out my father about this time tomorrow, or the third day, behold, if he is well inclined toward David, and I do not send and let you know it,

[NLT] Then Jonathan told David, "I promise by the LORD, the God of Israel, that by this time tomorrow, or the next day at the latest, I will talk to my father and let you know at once how he feels about you. If he speaks favorably about you, I will let you know.

[YLT] And Jonathan saith unto David, 'Jehovah, God of Israel -- when I search my father, about [this] time to-morrow [or] the third [day], and lo, good [is] towards David, and I do not then send unto thee, and have uncovered thine ear --
