[NIV] For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

[NIrV] That will happen in a flash, as quickly as you can wink an eye. It will happen when the last trumpet sounds. The trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised to live forever. And we will be changed.

[HCSB] Because this corruptible must be clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal must be clothed with immortality.

[CSB] Because this corruptible must be clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal must be clothed with immortality.

[AMP] For this perishable [part of us] must put on the imperishable [nature], and this mortal [part of us, this nature that is capable of dying] must put on immortality (freedom from death).

[NLT] For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.

[YLT] for it behoveth this corruptible to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality;
