(代下21:7)

[和合本] 耶和华却因自己与大卫所立的约,不肯灭大卫的家,照他所应许的,永远赐灯光与大卫和他的子孙。

[新译本] 耶和华因为自己和大卫所立的约,不愿消灭大卫家;却照着他应许的,永远赐灯光给大卫和他的子孙。

[当代修] 但耶和华不愿毁灭大卫家,因为祂曾与大卫立约,应许让大卫和他的子孙永远做王。

[现代修] 可是上主不愿毁灭大卫的王朝;因他曾经与大卫立约,应许他,说他的子孙要世世代代作王。

2 Chronicles 21:7

[GNT] but the LORD was not willing to destroy the dynasty of David, because he had made a covenant with David and promised that his descendants would always continue to rule.

[BBE] But it was not the Lord's purpose to send destruction on the family of David, because of the agreement he had made with David, when he said he would give to him and to his sons a light for ever.

[KJV] Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.
