Galatians 3:24

[GNT] And so the Law was in charge of us until Christ came, in order that we might then be put right with God through faith.

[BBE] But before faith came, we were kept in prison under the law, waiting for the revelation of the faith which was to come.

[KJV] Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

[NKJV] Therefore the law was our tutor [to bring us] to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

[KJ21] Therefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

[NASB] Therefore the Law has become our (I.e., children's escort and supervisor)guardian to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.

[NRSV] Therefore the law was our disciplinarian until Christ came, so that we might be justified by faith.

[WEB] So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

[ESV] So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith.

[NIV] So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.

[NIrV] Before faith in Christ came, we were held prisoners by the law. We were locked up until faith was made known.

[HCSB] The law, then, was our guardian until Christ, so that we could be justified by faith.

[CSB] The law, then, was our guardian until Christ, so that we could be justified by faith.

[AMP] So that the Law served [to us Jews] as our trainer [our guardian, our guide to Christ, to lead us] until Christ [came], that we might be justified (declared righteous, put in right standing with God) by and through faith.

[NLT] Let me put it another way. The law was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith.

[YLT] so that the law became our child-conductor -- to Christ, that by faith we may be declared righteous,
