1 Timothy 2:8

[GNT] In every church service I want the men to pray, men who are dedicated to God and can lift up their hands in prayer without anger or argument.

[BBE] And of this I became a preacher and an Apostle (what I say is true, not false,) and a teacher of the Gentiles in the true faith.

[KJV] I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

[NKJV] I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;

[KJ21] It is my will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting.

[NASB] (Instructions for Believers) Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger and dispute.

[NRSV] I desire, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument;

[WEB] I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.

[ESV] I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;

[NIV] I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.

[NIrV] I was appointed to be a messenger and an apostle to preach the good news. I am telling the truth. I'm not lying. God appointed me to be a teacher of the true faith to those who aren't Jews.

[HCSB] Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument.

[CSB] Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument.

[AMP] I desire therefore that in every place men should pray, without anger or quarreling or resentment or doubt [in their minds], lifting up holy hands.

[NLT] In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.

[YLT] I wish, therefore, that men pray in every place, lifting up kind hands, apart from anger and reasoning;
