1 Corinthians 9:18

[GNT] What pay do I get, then? It is the privilege of preaching the Good News without charging for it, without claiming my rights in my work for the gospel.

[BBE] But if I do it gladly, I have a reward; and if not, I am under orders to do it.

[KJV] What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

[NKJV] What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.

[KJ21] What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the Gospel, I may make the Gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the Gospel.

[NASB] What, then, is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

[NRSV] What then is my reward? Just this: that in my proclamation I may make the gospel free of charge, so as not to make full use of my rights in the gospel.

[WEB] What then is my reward? That when I preach the Good News, I may present the Good News of Christ without charge, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News.

[ESV] What then is my reward? That in my preaching I may present the gospel free of charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

[NIV] What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make use of my rights in preaching it.

[NIrV] If I preach because I want to, I get a reward. If I preach because I have to, I'm only doing my duty.

[HCSB] What then is my reward? To preach the gospel and offer it free of charge, and not make full use of my authority in the gospel.

[CSB] What then is my reward? To preach the gospel and offer it free of charge, and not make full use of my authority in the gospel.

[AMP] What then is the [actual] reward that I get? Just this: that in my preaching the good news (the Gospel), I may offer it [absolutely] free of expense [to anybody], not taking advantage of my rights and privileges [as a preacher] of the Gospel.

[NLT] What then is my pay? It is the opportunity to preach the Good News without charging anyone. That's why I never demand my rights when I preach the Good News.

[YLT] What, then, is my reward? -- that proclaiming good news, without charge I shall make the good news of the Christ, not to abuse my authority in the good news;
